IT Infrastructure Engineer
Shift: Hybrid – 2 days onsite 3 days remote

The Sr. IT Analyst for Data Center and Cloud will be a part of the IT Infrastructure organization, with a primary focus on efficient delivery of all third-party and internally managed IT infrastructure used to support business processes and services across the enterprise. This team works across IT towers and with the business partners to provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT Infrastructures that fulfill the needs of the business, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations, and IT service support.
Required Qualifications for Position:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
• 4+ years of experience in medium-to-large Data Center operations
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory Administration, VMWare vCenter administration, VMware vRealize (vRA) Automation,
• VMWare vRealize Operations (vROps) Automation, etc.
• Experience working closely with service providers and delegating operational activities to them, as directed by the manager
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, trends, and best practices
• Solid skills with enterprise-class servers, operating systems, and productivity software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Facilitate cross-functional oversight and governance to ensure all aspects of the IT Data Center portfolio are included in short-medium-long long-term planning and prioritization.
• Understand Internal Audit findings and work on a comprehensive plan to remediate those.
• Provide the organization with visibility into the long-term roadmap for functional and technical changes to the portfolio.
• Ensure all analysts are aligned on expectations for the quality and thoroughness of deliverables; review the work of less experienced staff and ensure consistency across the portfolio.
• Work closely with IT Infrastructure Architects, IT Applications, IT Office of the CIO, business unit professionals, project managers and other areas of NiSource, and Service Providers to perform and/or support operational processes, including procurement and payment processing, spending optimization, and expense management related to infrastructure services.
• Help drive resolution of operational and service-based issues in the Data Center, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on Service Provider operations, as directed by the Manager of IT Operations reporting related to Service Provider performance.
Preferred Qualifications for Position
• Advanced knowledge of ITIL processes and metrics
• Project Management Fundamentals and track record in managing complex projects
