Senior DevOps Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or demonstrable equivalent education and experience required
• 5 or more years of professional DevOps experience required
• Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Proficient with GitHub, GitHub Actions, JIRA, and Docker
• Experience with Linux is required
• Familiarity with C#/C++, Angular, and .NET
• Working knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL
• Some travel may be required greater than 15% annually
• Consistent computer work may require 8 or more hours working at a desk
• Extended standing and light lifting (less than 25 pounds) may be required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain tools, frameworks, and systems that boost developer productivity
• Provide technical guidance and support to developers
• Recommend, implement, and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline templates and best practices
• Serve as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for application deployment related issues, concerns, and needs
• Work with software developers and engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Establish best practices, standards, and guidelines for software development
• Remain well informed of the latest tools, technologies, and trends in software development
• Occasional travel for commissioning or servicing of equipment
• Work efficiently, safely, and follow all NOV Safety Policies and Procedures
• Maintain all company information as confidential
• Other duties as assigned
