As the API Platform PM, you’ll own the vision, roadmap, and execution of the Datadog API Platform.

You’ll work closely with product teams across Datadog, across the entire product portfolio to identify opportunities to generate customer value by spearheading cutting-edge features.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end product management process for the API Platform within Datadog.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to define and grow API frameworks and ensure they meet performance, security and scalability standards.
  • Define and own interfaces for teams to manage their APIs.
  • Influence decisions by providing technical consultation and direction to stakeholders.
  • Deliver technical marketing literature to generate awareness and drive adoption of platform features.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the platform and report on them to business and executive leadership.

Who You Are:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager leading the delivery of API services in a cross functional environment.
  • You have a strong understanding and experience working with API lifecycle management, API gateways, load balancing, rate-limiting, throttling, security and charge models.
  • You have experience working with HTTP and GRPC APIs and delivering Kubernetes based services.
  • You possess the ability to gain deep understanding of the system architecture and design concepts behind complex, enterprise-class software solutions at high transaction volumes.
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role at Datadog is: $187,000—$240,000 USD.
