Since 1996, AESC’s software practice has been developing custom tools for utility Demand Side Management programs. The AESC software team has developed a suite of customized application, calculation and analytics tools for several leading North American utilities and other energy industry customers.
AESC is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to become an integral part of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying computer application software for specialized utility programs. A mid-level Software Engineer should have familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures and be able to rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Salary Range*: $100,880 – $125,840
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze user needs for software solutions.
- Design, modify, develop, and implement software applications.
- Work with Program Manager or Product Owner to meet specification needs.
- Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency.
- Support and/or install software applications/operating systems.
- Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.
- Document all programming tasks and procedures.
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Perform routine software maintenance.
- Provide technical support to project team members.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or compensatory experience
- 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
- Demonstrated experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Angular, JavaScript and SQL Server
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud-based and Azure DevOps Services
- Full-stack development experience
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Customer Relationship Management (in particular, Salesforce) experience is a plus
- Effectively operate with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
