Senior Cloud Developer

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud Developer to join our growing Cloud Operations Team at the Herndon or Chantilly, VA location. This is an onsite position.

The Cloud Operations Team provides end-to-end cloud solutions for workloads in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle, enhancing the Customer’s mission through innovation, speed, agility, security, and resiliency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications and services.
2. Play a critical role in building and optimizing cloud-native solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets business requirements.
3. Strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, modern development frameworks, and a commitment to best practices in coding, security, and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud technologies and services.
3. Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
4. Strong proficiency in cloud-native development, including microservices architecture, containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
5. Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Node.js, or Go.
6. Strong knowledge of APIs, RESTful services, and event-driven architectures.
7. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
8. Understanding of cloud security practices, including access controls, encryption, and secure coding standards.
9. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Developer).
2. Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
3. Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
4. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automated deployment and monitoring.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
2. Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
3. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
4. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
5. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
