Responsibilities
Our client is looking for multiple Junior Systems Engineer to join their team! As a Junior Systems Engineer, you will serve as a critical member of an agile software development team where you will be responsible for various aspects of the systems engineering life cycle. Primarily, you will act as a liaison between stakeholders and development team where you will analyze customer needs, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. You will also assist customers in validating those requirements, advising them of alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies when necessary. You may also be required to lead design and development activities and serve as the Scrum Master for the team. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding system development and implementation planning through the preparation of engineering and system integration and test plans.

- Design and implement hardware and software solutions including documentation, testing & modification, schematics, mechanical drawings, cable assemblies, and parts lists
- Test and evaluate hardware and software designs to ensure proper operation
- Support a Linux-based environment
Requirements
- 0-5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a technical field of study is required. An additional 5+ years of equivalent practical experience may be substituted for a degree
- At least two (2) years in the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing systems architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis

Experience in requirements analysis/generation and developing systems architectures

Experience as a system engineer in programs that encompass systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations

Experience with independent verification and validation of system requirements

Computer/system architectures design and development for Linux

Experience with Agile Development methodologies such as Scrum

Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) signal detection, identification, measurement, collection, distribution and amplification

Experience with real-time processing, computing, control and digital signal processing

Direct experience with electrical power measurement and specification (AC and DC)

Direct system engineering experience with system timing analysis, system throughput and bandwidth estimation, and computer software applications and techniques

Direct experience creating Test Procedures, coordinating engineering activities, and testing/installing hardware

Direct experience specifying, evaluating, installing and maintaining equipment

Experience writing systems documentation (system CONOPs and other technical documents)

Developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale programs

Developing documentation to support a program’s technical issues and training situations

Understanding of modeling and measurement

Applying agile and/or spiral development models
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required. An additional 5+ years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly clearance is required. Please note that the FS Poly currently needs to be held by the NSA or within the past two years.
