Job Responsibilities:
- Learn and improve existing Ansible based framework and playbooks.
- Help Application owners understand the framework and its benefits.
- Collaborate with Application teams and onboard new application platforms onto the Ansible framework and author playbooks.
- Test and demo the capability of the completed playbooks and deployment engine.
- Assist Application teams in deploying into Production.
- Build CI/CD orchestration pipelines based on Git.
- Manage multiple projects with an eye on high quality and timely delivery.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, proactive attitude, and leadership in the delivery of work.
- Be trusted to resolve unclear but urgent tasks.
- Manage features/sub-features/stories related to own work in JIRA.
- Collaborate with engineering teams (network, firewall, systems, data center) to procure and deploy Linux servers with Harness Delegates.
- Collaborate with network and firewall teams to ensure connectivity from Harness to Production systems.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in creating and deploying Ansible frameworks and playbooks.
- 5+ years’ experience managing configuration, build, and deployments for enterprise software solutions.
- Experience using applications such as Jira, Harness, GitHub, Jenkins.
- Development experience with Python or Perl or other scripting languages.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux technologies.
- Multi-tasking experience – managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills – written and spoken.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Understanding of network fundamentals, APIs, and HTTP protocol.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Ability to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution to complex issues.
- High degree of professionalism and self-motivation.
