Job Title: Senior Principal Application Security Engineer, Oracle Payments

Location: Juneau, Alaska

Travel: 25%

The Role:

As part of the Oracle Payments Team, the Security Lead is responsible for reducing security assurance risk. You will lead the security practice to drive the culture in the organization and ensure that all activities are effective at avoiding, mitigating, finding and fixing vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define and develop software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
  2. Monitor, develop, and maintain enterprise security tooling program including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Protection, and Web Application Firewalls.
  3. Participate in security project tasks and interact directly with security organizations and multiple Lines of Business globally.
  4. Work directly with system owners to implement security controls and configure security tools.
  5. Build relationships with compliance and regulatory teams to assess and incorporate security and compliance requirements into development processes.
  6. Lead the internal security review processes and provide guidance during design, development and release phases on security standards.
  7. Reduce risk by enhancing existing security tools and processes within the organization.
  8. Support for Reported Product Security Vulnerabilities and review code fixes of security bugs.
  9. Ensure product functional and design specifications include security considerations.
  10. Coordinate security activities for the respective product family.
  11. Identify and quantify security risks for management.
  12. Participate in a Rotational On-Call schedule for Critical issues.
  13. Analyze the impact of proposed features on security.
  14. Conduct periodic code reviews to ensure security status is consistent with design.
  15. Monitor internal SecAlert announcements and external security websites for emerging threats.
  16. Ensure adequate code analysis and security testing of the component is completed.
  17. Provide support to the GPS ethical hacking team.
  18. Identify training opportunities and mentor team on best practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in an information security role, supporting security programs and security engineering/architecture.
  2. Hands-on experience with enterprise security architecture, engineering and implementation.
  3. Experience with security platforms: SIEM, Antivirus, Endpoint Detection and Response.
  4. Strong experience in cloud computing and building secure environments.
  5. Experience in security aspects of multiple platforms and operating systems.
  6. Understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure designs.
  7. Knowledge of security processes and technologies.
  8. Excellent communication skills and analytical ability.
  9. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  10. Dedicated desire to maintain knowledge of current security threats.
  11. Exceptional attention to detail.

Travel Component: Approximately 25% travel may be required.
