Engineering Cost Analyst - (1415)

Position summary:
Create stamping tooling concepts generating cost estimates for new model automotive programs assessing time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacturer seating frame tooling concepts while identifying areas of part manufacturability tooling risk. Work concurrently with Corporate Manufacturing engineering team to combat part / tooling risks, identifying opportunity for costs savings and VA/VE strategies.
Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:

• 4-year degree or certification in a technical- or engineering- related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 + years experience in manufacturing tooling or similar is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office / O365: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (macros functionality preferred)
• Attentive to micro and macro data that enhance overall project quality
• Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills to track and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Perform cost savings and cost margin analysis
• Estimate and develop stamping tooling costs
• Present reports at various levels of management
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Environmental conditions - Open office environment. May be exposed to moderate noise levels.

• Vocal Communication - Required to express or exchange ideas by means of concise (clear, correct and timely) discussion with coworkers, customers, suppliers, etc.

• Hearing Perception - Ability to recognize information at normal spoken levels and/or ability to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or make fine distinctions in sound.
• Sensory Utilization - Prepare and analyze written or computer data.
• Physical Activities - Required to stand, walk and sit, as well as using hands to pick up, handle or feel objects. May occasionally reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
