Process Engineer (ALD – Atomic Layer Deposition)
Worcester, MA
Our client is looking for an experienced engineer or scientist with industry experience using atomic layer deposition (ALD). This candidate will scale-up and optimize a new ALD manufacturing process used for detectors in advanced analytical instrumentation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ownership and scale-up of new ALD processes from R&D to manufacturing
- Develop SPC and DoE methods to achieve successful tech transfer of ALD processes
- Work independently on equipment and apply problem solving skills to find solutions
- Utilize analytical instrumentation (SEM, XPS, etc.) for testing of ALD processes
- Work closely with the R&D group and other stakeholders to ensure a successful scale-up
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of a BSc in Material Science, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience using ALD techniques in an industry setting
- Successful track record with tech transfer / process scale-up within a relevant area (i.e. semiconductors)
- Experience with Microchannel Plate (MCP) technology is a PLUS
