Senior Engineer Electrical

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri MarineGroup Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer - Electrical at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Electrical Engineer's purpose is to solve technical problems, develop applicable documentation, and supervise all assigned resources to support the assigned project. The Senior Electrical Engineer assists the electrical group in determining the technical requirements of the project, defining resource requirements to achieve schedule and budget commitments, and solving technical issues as they arise within the field of competence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Work independently in solving technical issues.
2. Plan, estimate, schedule and monitor assigned work and the work of assigned resources.
3. Able to track progress, report progress, recommend improvements to budget and schedule, and recommend reductions to budget and schedule.
4. Capable to facilitate communications of issues and solutions throughout FMM, subcontract, or customers.
5. Capable to mentor team members in effective communication techniques.
6. Capable to prepare, check and issue professional quality deliverables, mentor team members on improving performance deliverables, and mentor subcontractors on improving performance of deliverables.
7. Capable of interpreting contract requirements, applying to functional assignments, and able to mentor team members and subcontractors in their understanding.
8. Skilled to identify and develop contract change documents to support the project needs.
9. Capable to mentor fellow team members and subcontractors.
10. Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.
11. Mentor fellow team members and subcontractors in development, explanation, and guidance of policies and procedures.
12. Capable to lead or participate in product improvement projects and working groups.
13. Proficient to define, track, monitor, and provide direction for subcontract activities.
14. Able to define, track and control subcontractor activities.
15. Effectively supervise and mentor assigned resources during onboarding, skill development, or projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Engineer also demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company. The Senior Electrical Engineer may directly mentor or supervise team members.
