RDK Developer

Our key core client in telecom market is seeking an experienced RDK Developer focusing on the development of the Xfinity Meter for DOCSIS 4.0. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C programming and Yocto recipes, and experience managing and updating internal releases while working with various vendors. You will be responsible for integrating and validating releases from Broadcom, Sercomm, Arcom into the XM4 RDK codebase, developing unit and integration tests, and ensuring seamless code handoffs to the Comcast team.

Responsibilities:

• Release Management: Manage and update internal releases between Broadcom, Sercomm, Arcom, and Comcast, integrating them into the XM4 RDK codebase.
• Development: Develop XM software components and features, including the creation of unit, functional, and integration test plans and cases.
• Testing: Develop and support unit and integration tests to validate releases, ensuring high-quality output.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Manage versioning, deploy changes, and support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with different vendors to ensure smooth integration and release processes.
• Meetings & Reporting: Attend all required meetings for updates on development activities, provide regular updates in stand-ups, and sync with the hiring manager.
• Code Handoff: Support the complete code handoff process to the team, ensuring all documentation and testing is complete.
• Agile Development: Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software in an incremental manner.
• Best Practices: Promote and implement best practices for source control management, CI/CD architectures, performance, security, audit, and monitoring.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, technical product managers, and other team members to translate system architecture and product requirements into well-designed, implemented, and tested software solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for continuous improvement in the running IoT Platform system architecture with a focus on quality, performance, and security.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in C programming and Yocto recipes.
• Strong background in managing and updating internal software releases.
• Experience working with vendors such as Broadcom, Sercomm, Arcom, and Comcast.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, unit testing, integration testing, and version control.
• Experience in creating and managing DevOps tools and processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
