Position Summary
Designs, develops, modifies, configures, debugs and evaluates application programs for functional business areas. Analyzes existing applications and systems and formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, logical database design, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Consults with business analysts and architects to understand, anticipate, and meet current and future business needs. Modifies and configures applications/systems as specified in the requirements and/or technical design document. Prepares and obtains approval of system and development documentation.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Job Responsibilities
- Seeks advice from the supervisor or more experienced programmers/analysts only on unusual or most difficult problems.
- Interacts with clients and project team members; typically includes discussing and reporting progress of fixes.
- Resolves application programming analysis problems of moderate scope within procedural guidelines. Seeks assistance from the supervisor or more senior programmers/analysts on unusual or more difficult problems.
- The incumbent independently plans work to meet assigned specific objectives; progress is reviewed periodically for technical accuracy and adequacy in process, projects and reviewed upon completion.
- Assignments involve applying standard analysis and methods to a wider range of assignments or to develop more creative solutions. Individuals may begin to be responsible for scoping work. Follows existing Application Development Frameworks and Coding Standards. Adheres to IT Delivery Methodology. Applies the fundamental concepts of a particular field or technical discipline in addressing the work assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2 years experience in web based programming or development.
Desired:
- Experience in Full Stack Development.
- Experience with programming languages – C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and Power FX.
