Position Summary: We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in NodeJS experience to join this team. This hands-on role requires expert coding skills, passion for architecture and design, and experience on operational excellence.

About Team: Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver Customer Experience Tools initiatives for our Content Management System powering site experience.
  • Develop features and take ownership of our Tier 1 Nodejs application that serves content in the customer journey.
  • Write unit and integration tests for the features in Jest.
  • Integrate and consume from upstreams a variety of Services. Strong server-side javascript needed for the complex requirements of modern CMS.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the tooling experience is highly optimized and performant.
  • Optimize and identify opportunities to improve the software development life cycle.
  • Troubleshoot critical defects in software code and provide software solutions for coding errors. Debug and troubleshoot technical issues in the web and server-side applications written in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Nodejs, and GraphQL. Perform root cause analysis on business problems and fix the software bugs to reduce customer issues.

What you'll bring:

  • You're an amazing Javascript / Nodejs developer with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • You have hands-on experience with DB Stack using SQL Server and Cosmos DB or similar NoSQL DB.
  • You have hands-on experience of building microservices.
  • You have experience in building scalable/highly available distributed systems in the production environment.
  • You have experience in test driven development.
  • You have experience using standard tools to tune, profile, and debug Nodejs Applications.
  • You have experience implementing a wide range of testing techniques.
  • You have hands-on experience implementing CI/CD.
  • You have a mastery of Agile.
  • You have worked in a DEVOPS Environment.
  • You participate in on-call support rotation as and when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
