Our client, an Outsourced Investment Office acting for distinguished endowments, foundations, and prominent families across the globe, is hiring! They are a $50+B AUM firm with both domestic and international presence.


They are looking for a talented full-time Senior Software Engineer to work in a hybrid capacity out of their Downtown Boston, MA location.


The successful candidate will be joining the CIO Technology team, working with colleagues in London and Boston, to execute new projects and support existing applications. There are multiple ongoing projects which are working towards the improved operational efficiency of the business unit.


The successful candidate will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Approximately 4-8 years, or equivalent, commercial experience as a software engineer
  • Around 3 years of experience working in Python (Python 3+)
  • Experience architecting and designing software applications
  • Passionate about solving complex problems through programming
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and managing APIs
  • Strong database design and querying skills preferably in MySQL
  • Experience working in front end development preferably React.
  • Experience working with C#
  • Experience in Azure Native Components E.g. Azure Service Bus
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks
  • Understanding of agile processes, esp. Scrum


You should have a qualification in Computer Science (CS) or similar technical subject, or equivalent experience. Whilst there will be lots of opportunities to collaborate closely with other in the firm, the Senior Software Engineer will be working autonomously at times so will be a motivated self-starter, and will be committed to high-quality, well-tested code.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support software as required by the business users. This includes new green field initiatives and enhancing existing software.
  • Maintaining and improving the existing codebase based on guidelines set by the team management.
  • Responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team
  • Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels
