Job Description SummaryThe Lead Manufacturing Engineer's primary responsibilities will reside around Cost and Productivity for a defined product, aircraft engine blades, turbine airfoils process development, planning, and execution. You will manage the process, flow, improvements, and track quality and cost.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Schedule, resolve issues, track material availability and advise on material usageDesign and implement manufacturing processes and systems for control and replenishment of materialsPromote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationshipsAttain all aspects of production operation including safety, scheduling, quality, and team development in assigned areasPlan and implement process-engineering activities for new product development and current product supportProvide manufacturing method development and improvement for current and new productsDetermine safe manufacturing processes that produce a quality product in the most efficient method of manufactureInvestigate and apply new technologyAssist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problemsConduct training, process planning, evaluates operating methods, selects controls, and specifies tools, fixtures and gagesMaintain the manufacturing engineering system on part routing and standardsExecute manufacturing related quality planning activitiesPursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated areaAct as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performanceRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing role)Minimum 3 additional years of experience in manufacturingDesired Characteristics:Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or collegeExperience with making data driven decisions and utilizing Six Sigma or equivalent quality and Lean toolsKnowledge of safety agency regulations is preferredStrong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processesExperience managing multiple assignmentsKnowledge of ISO / quality proceduresSix Sigma training or equivalent quality trainingHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed ​Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative​Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerHealthcare benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; access to a Health Coach, a 24/7 nurse-based resource; and access to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services.
