Locus Robotics is a leader in the rapidly growing eCommerce order fulfillment optimization space. All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator's Warehouse Management System, utilizing and optimizing existing facility infrastructure. Locus Robotics is seeking a self-motivated Full Stack Developer with at least 3+ years of experience utilizing modern technologies for UI and Backend development. You will have the opportunity to make a major impact on the technical direction of our products, working with our robotic application interface to improve its core functionality and add new features while maintaining and developing the backend environment. This remote role is perfect for someone who loves a fast-paced startup environment and wants to break into the robotics field.


Locus can hire remotely in the US or Canada, England, Scotland, Portugal, Spain for this position.


Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to software design and architecture, including design reviews.
  2. Work on a team of talented engineers to maintain the current and lay the foundation for the future generation of Robot/Warehouse Execution System.
  3. Develop high-quality code along with automated unit tests for cloud-based and self-hosted SaaS products.
  4. Contribute to integration, system, and performance testing, including test tools.
  5. Take ownership as a highly motivated member of a scrum team.
  6. Assist with troubleshooting customer problems and finding solutions in a timely fashion.
  7. Write test cases within an automated test framework for development projects.
  8. Work within a Scrum environment to plan and deliver incremental software in defined sprints.
  9. Build strong partnerships with UX designers, Software Developers, and Product Managers.
  10. Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar engineering degree.
  2. 3+ years of experience in software development utilizing SQL, C# and .NET in particular and strong object oriented design and development skills.
  3. Experience with API-first development especially leveraging REST.
  4. Experience in UI development and familiarity with popular UI frameworks like React.js or Angular.js.
  5. Exposure in designing multi-threaded applications and experience in deploying and supporting those applications in production.
  6. Proficiency in designing applications using microservices architecture and asynchronous message-oriented systems.
  7. Solid understanding of database technologies including relational SQL and NoSQL databases, Microsoft SQL preferred.
  8. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  9. Experience with agile software development and scrum.
  10. Track record Test Driven Development using testing principles and practices.
  11. Familiarity with native cloud application development (GCP, AWS, Azure) would be an asset, but not required. Continuous deployment experience would also be a benefit.
  12. Ability to join a team that maintains current systems while innovating the next generation platforms that handle autonomous robots.
  13. Knowledge of languages such as Java, Go, Python and Rust is a plus.
  14. Proficient English written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
