About the Team
The mission of the cloud team at Radar is to build the plumbing in the cloud infrastructure, build cloud services, with simple and fast deployment to production.
About the Role
As a cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be involved with our fast-paced releases and collaborate closely with the application development team. The role requires hands-on development and a deep understanding of cloud-related technologies, management platforms, and networking.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and iterate on our CI/CD processes for cloud software.
- Work with the development team as the developer advocate.
- Responsible for cloud / cloud-native frameworks for release management, logging, monitoring, alerting, and escalation tooling pipeline.
- Help increase system performance with a focus on high availability and scalability.
- Work collaboratively with different agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features.
- Continue to keep the lights on (day-to-day administration).
- Evangelize high engineering standards and best practices.
About You
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years professional experience in DevOps.
- 7+ professional experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- In-depth experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
- Experience deploying microservice architecture and supporting serverless architectures.
- In-depth experience with CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and config management.
- Experience with open-source databases and cloud-native messaging frameworks.
- Rock solid with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, shell).
- Understanding of networking concepts.
- Deeply conversant with cloud infrastructure security best practices.
