Senior Principal Software Engineer
This job is available with GeoLogics , a top Aerospace & Defense company. This job can be worked from Fair Lakes, VA; Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; El Segundo, CA; or Scottsdale, AZ.
In this role, you will utilize your experience in Satellite communications, Ground to Satellite communications, and/or Ground Operations, joining a cross-functional team responsible for performing software requirements analysis, leading research and design, and developing and testing software and tools. Your talent and leadership abilities will be front and center in inventing new products or enhancing existing applications.
Required Skills & Experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Bachelor of Science in STEM with 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience
- Proficiency in Java, C++, Node.JS, Cesium.JS, Python, and Perl
- Experience with application development/deployment/resource access via Docker, Kubernetes, Helm/Ansible/Terraform, Nexus, Rancher/Longhorn, Jenkins, GitLab, Istio, StackRox
- Familiarity with AWS Storage Services: S3, Glacier, Boto3, ETL frameworks, and other AWS APIs for Data Lake development
- CI/CD pipeline development experience
- Familiarity with Agile philosophies and processes
- Kafka messaging setup, configuration, and implementation, including XML message schema definition, message validation, and message processing
- Setup and configuration of AWS storage services for Data Lake, including data retention policies and migration strategies
- Web GUI development using Node.JS and Boto3 for Data Lake storage management
- Web GUI development using Node.JS and Cesium.JS for 3D map rendering
- Familiarity with Data Lake Analysis and Data Visualization tools, including ELK/Grafana, Matlab, Cesium, STK, and Jupyter Notebook/JupyterLab

Compensation:
'In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the W2 hourly rate range for this role is $92.62 - $105.62. Rates listed are not a guarantee of salary/rate.
