Senior Systems Developer - (STRATAS01)

Our team has an immediate need for a Senior System Developer. You will perform tasks related to the design, development, modification, and administration of software systems and applications. Primary responsibilities include:

1. Identify and assess user needs or project requirements, and design or configure systems and programs.
2. Perform system coding and backend processing.
3. Write and modify code, handle testing and debugging tasks, and perform ongoing troubleshooting.
4. Formulate and define specifications for applications or modify/maintain existing applications.
5. Collaborate on the design of data models, technical architecture, data flows, schemas and API contracts.
6. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
7. Design and develop prototype software using the latest open-source technologies.
8. Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
9. Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
10. Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
11. Create test plans and perform regression testing and white box testing as modules are integrated into the end systems.
12. Work with senior team members to identify errors and/or deficiencies in specifications and to make required modifications or enhancements.
13. Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
14. Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development.
15. Provide ongoing technical assistance to customers (primarily internal) regarding applications and participate in upgrades and system enhancement projects.
16. Implement disaster recovery procedures and ensure that the system meets high availability standards.
17. Provide technical support activities for a production processing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Hands-on experience with testing and debugging tools and programs, and proficiency with programming languages.
2. Attention to detail and strong organization skills.
3. Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, or equivalent field.
4. Experience working in an Agile development team – DevOps/DevSecOps experience preferred.
5. Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, PYTHON, BASH, PL/SQL, SQL, PHP.
6. Experience with Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate) and RESTful web services.
7. Experience with JavaScript Frameworks and tools.
8. Experience with Cloud / Amazon Web Services.
9. Experience with Git, Jenkins, Confluence or Rundeck.
