Project Engineer - Electrical Services

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the Dallas - Fort Worth region. The Project Engineer will play a critical role in managing and overseeing electrical projects of various sizes and complexities. You will collaborate closely with our clients, subcontractors, and a talented team of electricians to provide technical engineering support, ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for project estimating.

You will work within the Spark Testing Services division to contribute to projects of varying scope, with an emphasis on NETA standardized electrical testing projects

Here's what you will do as a Project Engineer:

  • Manage working relationships with clients, internal resources and third parties such as vendors, subcontractors, and utilities.
  • Provide electrical/technical oversight on projects, large and small
  • Develop project scope and objectives
  • Work closely with teams of electricians to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget
  • Provide accurate project timelines, estimates, and updates to external and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and address project challenges proactively, finding solutions to keep projects on track
  • Provide accurate project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a project engineer, electrical engineer, or high-level electrical construction and service-related technical role
  • Knowledge of building and electrical codes and regulations
  • NETA (InterNational Electrical Testing Association) certification/ background a strong plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Excellent written, verbal, telephone, and digital communication skills with superb customer service.
  • Demonstrated success in juggling competing priorities and tasks.
