Robotic Process Automation Developer – Revenue Cycle


The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) development team designs, develops, and implements automation solutions that streamline and enhance business processes. By leveraging RPA tools and technologies, the RPA team aims to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency in operational workflows, ultimately contributing to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the organization.


Job Description:

  • Design, development, and implement robotic process automation solutions using specified RPA tools/software.
  • Develop detailed process documentation and workflow designs for automation projects.
  • Ensure that automation solutions are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and analyze process requirements.
  • Conduct integration and user acceptance testing to validate RPA solutions.
  • Deploy RPA bots to production environments and monitor their performance. Continuously monitor post go-live to ensure performance is maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors that arise in the automation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units to ensure alignment on automation goals and objectives.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of RPA solutions to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise on RPA capabilities and limitations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in RPA technologies and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for further process improvements and automation.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to optimize existing automation workflows.
  • Assist in training end-users on utilizing RPA solutions and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in RPA technology and automation methodologies.


Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Certification in automation software package must be obtained within 90 days of hire.


Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Significant experience will be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.


Experience Required:

Typically requires 2 years of experience in Robotic Process Automation or similar technologies.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell, or VBScript preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.
  • Proficiency in developing RPA solutions.
  • Previous healthcare experience and knowledge of revenue cycle systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels required.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies required.
  • Prior experience in software development or automation is desirable.
  • Knowledge regarding design, build, deploy, and manage automation solutions using specified RPA software.
  • Good understanding of process design documents and technical design documents within the automation space.
  • Ability to understand the business process and create process flow diagrams.
  • Exposure to Data Analytics, Cognitive / AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), with preference given for industry experience as well as a thorough understanding of relational databases, SQL, and web services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with clients at multiple levels as well as ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong foundation on current RPA best practices and documentation approaches.
