This opportunity resides with Cyber & Electronic Warfare , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace.

Summary

Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space (CEWS) is looking to hire an Operational Data Support Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering support to the customer’s Senior Operations Data Office (SODO) and will assist in executing Data Governance, Data Extension & Reduction Process (DERP) Requests, Data Characterization and Tagging Support, Data Management Requests (DMRs), Historical Data Migration (HDM), and Corporate Warehouse governance and support activities within the SODO office.

The Operational Data Support Engineer responsibilities include the following:

• Operational Data Governance support
  • Assist in the coordination, development and documentation of Data governance processes and procedures.
• DERP, Data Characterization and Tagging Support, and DMRs
  • Assist with the Review, Coordination, Validation and Tracking of new data tags, DERP requests, and DMR status.
• Assist with overseeing mission requirements for Transition and Decommissioning Systems and datasets.
• Corporate Warehouse governance and support
  • Coordinate and track operational efficiencies. Create and maintain schedules of needed actions and recommended courses of action.

Additional duties include planning and tracking requirements management, QA, risk management, and status reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 5 years of systems engineering experience.
• A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
• A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Strong experience in integrations with corporate repositories.
• Understanding of operational data, data ingest, and dataflow processes.
• Understanding of front-end processing, analytic and storage infrastructure, and data queries.
• Familiarity with various HDM capabilities and methodologies.

Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI/Polygraph for consideration

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 6 years of systems engineering experience is strongly desired.
• Experience with IC industry and customer.
