The OpportunityAt Arup, we care about each member’s success, so we can grow together.We are currently recruiting for a Junior Energy Consultant to join our Energy team in our Delhi office, India. As Arup, we pride ourselves on our extensive support network globally and our strength in numbers. This role will support the further growth, development, and service delivery of the energy consulting team, with a particular focus on electrical engineering aspects of our projects, but also business development support and project management support of PV, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen, and mini/micro- grid projects. Focus on grid-connections and large-project context, structure and role players are important. Financial acumen, with respect to energy projects and project finance will be a bonus along with project management support to the lead Project Manager for the delivery of lenders technical advisory, owner’s engineer, and design services within the renewable energy sector across the project lifecycle.Arup is seeking a renewable energy engineer to join the Energy team. The role will involve:·Responsible for Performing wind energy yield estimates and assessments at various stages of development and monthly construction and operations monitoring reporting of renewable energy projects.·Technical due diligence on pre-construction and operational assets across technology, design, energy yield, financial model, programme and technical aspects of construction contracts and supporting with energy yield analysis, feasibility studies and layout optimisation on wind and hybrid energy projects both onshore and offshore.·Carrying out site visits to project locations for progress and quality monitoring as well commissioning. Reviewing and certifying contractor payment claims/milestones.·Tender preparation and evaluation. providing input on Employer’s Requirements and technical schedules of construction contracts. deemed energy claims and calculations with design reviews.Projects will be located across South Africa and India, and the rest of Africa. You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.Job Location - Gurugram, IndiaRequirements:·Minimum 2 years’ experience in performing bankable pre-construction energy yield assessments, supporting LIE/LTA and OE roles, feasibility projects or project development.·Experience inwind turbine technology reviews.·B.Eng/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or similar.·Familiarity with solar PV and battery storage technologiesand trainingon WindPRO, or alternatively, WasP.·CFD Experience applicable to EYAs.·Developing turbine layouts or layout optimization and micro siting with Consultancy experience.Reward and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary at all levels, and one of the best benefits packages in our sector.
