Project/Program/Configuration Management

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Digital Mission Systems Engineer with applied digital engineering (DE)/model-based engineering (MBE) experience to join our team to provide advanced engineering, modeling, and simulation (M&S), integration capabilities to support our complex mission. In this position, you will use your knowledge of systems engineering and model-based engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy digital engineering solutions and services for use on individual programs and across the USAF and NATO enterprise.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with USAF organizational activities to prioritize focus areas of Model Based Mission Engineering (MBME) efforts and determine data needed to support prioritized MBME focus areas.
  • Conduct modeling sessions to build SME-informed future Mission Thread (MT) models, consistent with guidance from Joint Warfighting Concepts, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy, Joint Force Operating Scenarios, etc.
  • Incrementally build the Mission Architecture through development of MT and Mission Engineering Thread (MET) models using commercial-off-the-shelf visual modeling tools, such as Magic Draw/Cameo.
  • The Mission Architecture will provide a depiction of concepts, approaches, and systems of systems that enables details of the process flow, timing, interactions, data, capabilities, and performance to be examined in relation to the other processes, entities, and systems that contribute to achieving mission objectives.
  • Establish common data model across all MT/MET models. Maintain awareness of concurrent activities by working in a common modeling database across the organization.
  • Developing your keen understanding of systems and mission engineering and an awareness of sponsor needs to determine areas where the USAF can have an impact on NATO future programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute technical work in complex, multi-disciplinary and ambiguous situations.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to strengthen international relationships through technology collaboration and common interest between NATO countries and NATO Commands.
