Software Quality Assurance Engineer


W2 Contract
Salary Range: $111,800 - $132,600 per year
Location: Cupertino, CA - Hybrid Role

Job Summary:

The mission of the Data Platform Organization is to provide our engineers and data scientists with an innovative, reliable, secured, and easy-to-use infrastructure for ingesting, storing, processing, and interacting with data and ultimately help the teams that build data-intensive applications be successful. You will work with cross-functional teams and lead the planning, execution, and success of technical projects, with the ultimate goal of improving our digital assistant and customers' search experience. We are looking for a Software Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer to develop validation and test solutions for the AIML Data Platform portal, which is the main landing and interface for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work with feature teams to understand feature goals, components being modified, and interactions with the rest of the system.
  2. Develop feature test plans to ensure the portal achieves its testing goals.
  3. Implement new tests when needed to achieve adequate coverage.
  4. Automate end-to-end and unit-level testing.
  5. Manage automated testing and triage test failures.
  6. Report on testing status and follow up to ensure regressions are addressed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years of web testing or development experience
  2. Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Puppeteer, Cucumber, Nightwatch, or similar website and UI testing frameworks.
  3. Demonstrated experience creating tests that identify software bugs
  4. Analytical skills to independently perform first-level triage on test failures
  5. Software skills with automation languages such as Python, Swift, Ruby, or JavaScript
  6. Detailed-oriented approach to understanding, documenting, and executing test requirements
  7. Able to communicate clearly and effectively about technical topics, verbally and written
