Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

As a Senior Software Engineer with the CSCP’s Strategy & Transformation org, you will utilize web3 innovations to build the world’s largest distributed supply chain network. Through the convergence of innovative tech such as Web3 and AI based technologies and Microsoft best-in-class products, we are bringing together suppliers and partners to meet core supply chain needs and systematically drive operational efficiencies and revenue growth. These solutions will form the genesis of our product strategy focused on supply chain vertical for which we are incubating a small nimble engineering team. Our group won the 2021 Gartner Power of Profession Award and the 2023 Treasury & Risk Alexander Hamilton Award thanks to the near real time visibility, accurate financial transactions, and enhanced compliance the solution enabled. We are growing to serve global customers across industries.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work side-by-side with our current Software Engineers to further build out the product leveraging standard Azure services and best practices.

  • Hands on design, coding and unit testing
  • Work closely with PM’s, customers and other engineers to turn requirements into design and code.
  • Identifying dependencies and technical challenges and finding solutions to overcome through attention to detail and clear communication both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and function in a constantly evolving startup environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience coding in languages including but not limited to C/C++/C#, Java, JavaScript or Python
    • OR equivalent exprience.
  • At least 1 year of Azure Service knowledge (Microsoft Entra ID authentication, App Services, Functions, Message Eventing, App Services), Azure DevOps and Relational databases.
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related relevant discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience coding in languages including but not limited to C/C++/C#, Java, JavaScript or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Hands on skills in:
    • Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, Harthat
    • common OATH2
    • Blockchain / Solidity development
  • Leadership and adaptability in dynamic environments, with the ability to nurture stakeholder relationships and steer project success.
  • Problem-solving acumen for complex integration challenges, a commitment to quality, and a continuous learning mindset with Azure DevOps experience preferred.
  • Successful candidate should also demonstrate at least two projects showcasing proactive identification of problems, bottlenecks with proposed solutions and how this was taken over the finish line as well as two projects showcasing understanding of the industry trends in web3 like blockchain and/or AI.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
