We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team at a downstream partner in eastern North Carolina. This candidate will be supporting a new unit/process for Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride (AHS) and optimizing the current structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance plans based on historical data and industry best practices.
- Analyze equipment performance data using reliability tools like FMEA and Weibull analysis .
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability and process optimization.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability while minimizing excess.
- Support capital projects by reviewing equipment specifications and providing input on reliability and maintainability.
- Monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations .
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering , or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering , preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with RCM, RCA, FMEA , and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP or Maximo ).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., OSHA ).
- Strong problem-solving skills .
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in phosphate, ammonium phosphate , or hydrofluoric acid .
- Experience with static and rotating equipment . I/E experience is a plus.
