Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer - 3rd Shift for a Direct Hire in Location: 46725, Columbia City, IN.


Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 the salary range may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

The Role:

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
  • Supervise and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformances related to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Verify implementation of solutions.
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience with PLC’s (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 – Rockwell software) – being able to understand ladder logic and make programming changes.
  • Experience with automation equipment (i.e., industrial robots, AGV, vision systems)
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance practices and facilities management.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to supervise a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and other departments.
  • Associate degree or Higher required.


Bonus If You Have:

Experience with PLC’s (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 – Rockwell software) – being able to understand ladder logic and make programming changes and experience with automation equipment (i.e., industrial robots, AGV, vision systems) is highly preferred.
