UI/UX Designer

Position Role/Title: UI/UX Designer

Location: San Diego, CA

Roles & Responsibilities

Experience working with data & analytics platforms (data engineering, business intelligence, data science, data cataloging, etc.) and familiarity with the personas of practitioners in these spaces.

• Mastery in one or more web design tools
• A passion and demonstrated customer-centric approach in building great user and developer experiences
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, independently drive toward objectives, work creatively and analytically
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate in an agile delivery framework
• Ability to build and manage cross-functional relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public cloud platforms for big data capabilities
• Experience with Hadoop "big data" platforms
• Experience with the React UI framework
• Experience with data governance frameworks, processes, roles & responsibilities
• Experience with corporate data privacy, security & compliance
• Experience with Microsoft Azure

Minimum Qualifications

• College degree (preferably a graduate degree) with specialization in graphic design or data management, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of user experience design of web applications
• 2+ years of experience developing user interfaces for production web applications
