Drupal Developer (Hybrid)

ARS Aleut Services is seeking a Drupal Developer and Applications Specialist to join our hybrid team in Rockville, MD, working on-site in Rockville 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide Drupal 10+ expertise to support the design and implementation of new or updated federal websites and features.
2. Implement a newly designed website using Drupal coding standards.
3. Maintain website compliance with federal policies and requirements.
4. Maintain and improve integrations with other federal applications.
5. Support business process analysis and re-engineering efforts for the office and end users using the websites and catalogs listed above.
6. Assist in the maintenance of the Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation for the website.
7. Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation.

Requirements:

1. 7-10 years of experience doing Drupal development, module integration, module creation, site management, and content management.
2. Solid understanding and comfort with Drupal architecture, CMS configuration and management, contributed module integration, front-end design and configuration, and third-party tool integrations.
3. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Management, or a similar technical field. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
4. Experience with SDLC.
5. Able to be on-site in Rockville, MD 1-2 times per week (if located in the Wash DC area).
6. Able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:

1. You have experience with designing user interfaces in Drupal.
2. You have Agile Scrum and/or Kanban experience.
3. You are familiar with the US Website Design System (USWDS).
4. You are familiar with Bootstrap, Pattern Lab, Storybook, or similar tools.
5. You have an understanding of best practices for accessibility and 508 compliance.
6. You have familiarity with remote research and collaborative tools such as Optimal Workshop, Miro, or Figjam.
7. You have some experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Hotjar.
8. You are a self-starter and adaptable in approach to fit project budget and timelines.
9. You are energetic, team-oriented, and a motivated learner.
10. You work well in a collaborative environment with designers and other team members.
