Akkodis is seeking a – Cloud Engineer for a Contract position with a client located in Raleigh, NC.
Pay/Salary Range: $60-$65/hr. (Depends upon experience)

Description:
The successful applicants will be performing compliance remediation & coordination work for various SRE teams. The primary responsibility will be to address compliance program gaps within Merakis systems, networks, and applications. You will work closely with our Compliance and Engineering Enablement team and the SRE teams to ensure that identified Compliance gaps are closed to protect our assets and data from regulatory breach.
Key responsibilities:
1. Owning the necessary Compliance improvement of our Engineering Enablement domain systems (CI Pipelines, Source code, Cloud/Firmware Developer Machines).
2. Ensure that work is broken down and tickets are completed in a timely manner.
3. Identify gaps and suggest improvements to the compliance and system structure.
4. Provide weekly updates to the management about progress of compliance improvement efforts and call out risks.
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years experience of working on Linux based infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience developing with object-oriented programming languages like python and ruby
- Experience with compliance programs (PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, SOC1/2, Etc.) and Security Framework/Standards (NIST SP800, CSF, etc.)
- Experience with AWS and Google cloud environments
- Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong spoken and written English
