Driftwood LNG is a greenfield LNG export terminal located on an approximate 700-acre plot on the Calcasieu River due south of Sulphur, Louisiana. The project will be permitted for a nominal 26 MTPA LNG facility based on 20 liquefaction units of 1.3 MTPA each, divided into five LNG plants with four units in each LNG plant (each four unit LNG plant hereafter a “Plant”). The Project will also include three 235,000m³ full containment LNG tanks and three marine loading jetties that will support ships with capacity of up to 216,000m³. All plants will be built direct hire by Bechtel.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform cost estimating, analysis, control activities, schedule development, maintenance, reporting, monitoring activities and oversee the upkeep of the detailed project risk register. You will assist in preparing cost/schedule data for proposals and present at stakeholder meetings. Your work ensures projects stay on track, on budget, and ahead of the competition.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring activities, as directed.
  2. Collects or receives, as directed, drawings and other scope definition documentation that applies to assigned discipline or commodity specialty and verifies adequacy and completeness.
  3. Performs, as directed, routine quantity takeoffs, within discipline or commodity specialty, from engineering and construction drawings.
  4. Collects and tabulates quantity data for summary comparisons and reconciliations, or verifies quantities provided by others.
  5. Prepares and presents cost/schedule information at meetings, as directed.
  6. Assists in preparing cost/schedule data for proposals or contracts.
  7. Gathers and verifies data on schedule, work force, and quantities to update and status discipline or specialty progress and performance reports.
  8. Operates, manages, and oversees use of Active Risk Manager (ARM) or equivalent risk register software tool.
  9. Assists the Project Risk Specialist or Project Risk Manager in the preparation of risk analysis recommendations, reports, metrics, and presentations.
  10. Works with Risk Owners to update and satisfy project record keeping and data archival requirements in support of PERM activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 4 year College degree with 1-2 years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Two years relevant experience. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication. Proficiency in using PC operating systems and several basic software applications. Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (e.g., Microsoft, Primavera P6, and Milestones Professional).
