We are currently seeking a Cloud Data Engineer with a strong foundation in Python, API integrations, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and SQL. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud-based data solutions to improve data accessibility and drive insights that support strategic decisions.
This is a contract role that offers a hybrid work schedule!
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient data pipelines and architectures in cloud environments using Python.
- Develop and maintain APIs for data integration and consumption across various cloud services.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of pipelines and databases.
- Utilize Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for data integration, transformation, and management to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Perform complex data queries and manipulations using SQL to support analytics and business intelligence efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable and secure data solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data storage and retrieval performance in the cloud.
- Adhere to data governance and security policies.
- Provide expertise on cloud data technologies and best practices to team members and stakeholders.
- Document all processes, models, and activity flows thoroughly for clear communication and future maintenance.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in cloud data services and technologies to incorporate into potential solutions.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a cloud engineering role, with a strong focus on data-centric projects.
- Proven expertise in Python programming for data manipulation and automation.
- Solid experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and other cloud-based ETL tools.
- Proficient in designing and developing APIs for robust data integration.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and non-relational database systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large, complex data sets.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and innovative approach to solving technical challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
