A R&D Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting and verifying electrical systems for new Fulton products in a manner that is consistent with the Fulton values and operating philosophy. A R&D Electrical Engineer is responsible for working with other R&D engineers and technicians to develop electrical systems that meet cost, performance and mechanical interface requirements. A Hybrid work schedule is available, subject to project requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
  • Work cross-functionally with other R&D staff
  • Specification- Identifying, evaluating and validating new hardware platforms for future electrical and controls systems
  • Document creation - Oversee and guide electrical drafting of drawings for Fulton Products as well as internal projects for R&D and MFG
  • Troubleshooting - Provide expertise troubleshooting electrical and communication systems in the lab and at installed customer sites
  • Controls support - Guide and support R&D implementing new product control systems that utilize PLCs, PCBs and embedded controls. Become a key piece of Fulton leading the market with state of the art, cost effective controls.
  • Technical knowledge - Have a thorough understating of Fulton heating systems, controls and their applications in addition to electrical systems
  • Code compliance - Ensures new products meet applicable codes and standards
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience) :
  • Preferred: 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Required: 2- year Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree
  • 2 years electrical/controls design experience preferred
  • Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design Principles

  • Flexibility - Demonstrated ability to respond to and effectively address unforeseen events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
  • Repetitive Motion - Substantial movement/motion of the wrists, hands and fingers.
  • Sitting - The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.
  • Vision - Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, inspection involving small defects or welds, use and operation of machines, use of measurement devices, etc.
  • Travel - Work requires travel by car or airplane and includes extended periods of sitting.

Salary Description
$70,000 - $90,000 / year
