Job Title: CNC Mill and Lathe Non-Credit Trainers (Part Time Temporary Applicant Pool)Reports to: Director of Workforce and Economic DevelopmentMontgomery County Community College is searching for a part time CNC Mill and Lathe instructor to teach our CNC Machinist program at our Pottstown and/or Blue Bell campuses.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrate and teach best practices for safe and effective use of machining equipment and tools.Teach students the theory and practice of machining aligned to NIMS credentials including measurement, materials, and safety, as well as basic CNC Mill and/or Lathe Operations.Demonstrate, conduct, and supervise practical labs and training for students on CNC equipment in the college labs.Cover following topics including:Basic measurements, print reading, precision measurements tools, dimensional gauging and tolerances.Drilling operations, internal machining operation, milling machine operation and Milling and Turning operation.CNC mill, program, turning and grinding operation. CNC troubleshooting, statistical process control and control charts.Evaluate student performance in the class.Partner with industry advisory group to continue to improve and align instruction to industry needs.Serve as a reference for students seeking employment with regional employers.Partner with Workforce Division to help plan and implement additional machining courses and/or contract training with regional employers.Help maintain machining labs as safe and organized work areas.QUALIFICATIONSExperience instructing on the use of precise mechanical measurement instruments and their application to determining geometric tolerance for CNC Lathe and Mill programming.Prior instructional experience is desirable but can be waived for experienced professionals.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of 3 years supervisory-level experience in operating and instructing on HAAS (or comparable equipment) CNC Mill and Lathe technology.Montgomery County Community College is an EOE.Applicant Pools: Montgomery County Community College maintains applicant pools for Part Time Temporary/Casual Positions.
