Security Engineer

As a Barclays Security Engineer, you will be working within the CSO Security Engineering and Technology Services (SETS) team and reporting to the Head of Endpoint Security. You will have the responsibility for various security services that CSO operates, specifically within the Endpoint Security technologies domain. This is an opportunity to work in collaboration to deliver large programs of work, owning and taking the technical lead ensuring items are completed as expected.

What will you be doing?
• Taking lead on the design, development & delivery of product roadmaps to support the evolution of core security services, aligning deliveries to Barclays’ strategy
• Participating and jointly taking responsibility for successful implementation of security operations requirements into solutions
• Working closely with on-shore and off-shore teams to enhance/upgrade/uplift existing services and provide Level-3 engineering support
• Building a solid working relationship with Cyber Operations teams and helping them define requirements
• Acting as a subject matter expert on Endpoint Security technologies
• Operating, configuring, and fine-tuning endpoint detection logic, policies, and signature
What we’re looking for:
• Career proven history of supporting and being in lead roles of security services at enterprise scale
• Knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response tools, such as, MDI (Microsoft defender for Identity), MDE, CrowdStrike, KQL, Alert Tunning, Custom Detection Rules for MDE
• Knowledge on Active Directory and Domain Controllers. (Must have knowledge as we are looking for MDI SME)
• Knowledge of security network architectures e.g. Firewalls, DMZ, proxies, DNS, web and mail servers, and the principles of networking
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Relevant professional certifications in information technology or cloud security e.g., SC200, Az500
• Experience working with and supporting *nix and windows server platforms
• Ability to work in remote teams, set and control own workload and be able to lead and mentor others
• Technical knowledge of Cybersecurity ecosystem and tooling
