Join a leading company in the superabrasive industry as a CNC Swiss Machinist. Utilize your expertise to craft precision components in a dynamic team environment. This is a perfect role for those eager to grow and make an impact in advanced manufacturing.
Shift: Sunday- Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am (Training on 1st shift 8:00am-4:30pm for 4-6 weeks)
Direct Hire Position: $19-22/hr base + benefits (pay negotiable based on experience; $2 shift premium on top of base pay)
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machinist, or equivalent education from a trade school or vocational program with 1-3 years of experience.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and conducting part inspections.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years' experience required as a Machinist or equivalent education from a trade school or vocational program with 1-3 years of experience.
- Experience reading a blueprint and completing part inspections to match the print
- Experience with Tsugami CNC Swiss Machines, MO8, and/or Hyundai CNC Mill is a plus.
- Prior experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is desired.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to operate multiple machines during each shift.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds consistently.
- Must be able to stand for more than 4 hours a day.
- Program CNC machines based on engineering drawings to fabricate various materials in the machine shop.
- Set CNC machine origins following setup instructions and blueprints.
- Ensure machining dimensions meet specifications and maintain close tolerances.
- Load and set all necessary tools according to setup instructions for CNC milling machines.
- Utilize inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and profile projectors to ensure quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any deviations from work instructions.
- Contribute to a friendly and supportive team environment.
- Effectively multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
- Document setup and production information, including any deviations or adjustments made during the process for traceability.
- Design fixtures when required to improve processes.
- Optimize cycle times while adhering to high-quality standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
