Purpose:

As a Superintendent at Worley, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will provide construction site expertise during the construction phases of projects, interpreting designs, making necessary adjustments to meet site conditions, overseeing construction supervision, and providing final approval of completed construction tasks to ensure they conform to design specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Design Interpretation: Collaborate with project designers to interpret construction designs and make necessary adjustments to accommodate site-specific conditions while ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee and supervise construction activities, ensuring they are executed according to established plans, quality standards, safety protocols, and within budget and time constraints.
  • Construction Practices: Develop and maintain construction practices specific to the project, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordination: Control and coordinate construction activities to ensure that projects are delivered to the client's satisfaction, meeting safety, quality, time, and budget parameters.
  • Client Satisfaction: Work closely with clients and project stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the construction phase.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Degree Holders: Typically possess relevant experience in construction and project management.
  • Trade Qualifications: Typically have significant relevant experience in construction and related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise construction projects to successful completion.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • University Degree in a related field

Preferred:

  • Equivalent trade qualification combined with further relevant training and experience.
