The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for establishing and maintaining the processes required to support GED's CNC Machining operation:
• Ensures efficient operation and continuous flow of products from the machining centers.
- Vertical, Horizontal machining centers/ CNC Lathes.
• Establish and implement cost-effective processing methods for CNC machined parts.
• Generate CNC programs using MasterCAM.
• Design fixtures and/or special tooling as required using 3d software. (Fusion360 exp a plus)
• Create and maintain standard routings and Bills of Material.
• Maintain CNC programs, fixtures and setup notes database.
• Order special tooling and shop supplies as required.
• Review non-conforming parts for acceptability and/or corrective action.
• Establish ROP information and lot sizing requirements for all manufactured components.
• Work hand in hand with machinists to establish best practices.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Computer Literate (Windows, MS Office).
• Good interpersonal/communication skills.
• Experience in implementation of robotic automation a plus.
• Proven experience in manufacturing planning and process implementation.
• Hands on boots on the ground.
• Must be highly motivated.
• Ability to interpret blueprint drawings.
This position requires being on your feet 5 plus hours a day walking and standing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting and lifting up to 50lbs. It also requires climbing stairs onto machine tables as well as leaning into work centers.
