Structural Technologies is expanding our Heavy Civil division that focuses on the construction of new bridges, repair of existing bridges or special structures and water & wastewater tanks.
We are currently recruiting for a CAD Designer to be based in our Texas office which is located in Forth Worth, TX. As a CAD Designer for STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES/VSL, you will be accountable for preparing complex drawings of structures and equipment systems.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- 3D SolidWorks Modeling and 2D Fabrication Drawings
- 2D Drafting projects and mechanical system drawings derived from layouts and sketches
- Establishing and following technical specifications to prepare drawings and draft designs
Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position:
- 4+ years experience with AutoCAD
- 3+ years experience with SolidWorks 3D Modeling
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong communication skills, able to correspond well with Engineers and Clients
- Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Candidates who are proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD, , SolidWorks, BIM/Revit, and MS Office Suite may be given preference
