Sr. DevSecOps Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

Rancher Government Solutions is looking to hire a TS/SCI (Full Scope Polygraph cleared preferred) engineer to support our clients' contracts within the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with containers and Kubernetes, strong technical and communication skills, and understanding of IT infrastructure, Dev/Ops, open-source software and/or application development.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to work closely with federal customers to help them understand, build, and maintain Rancher for their business. This role will be part of the Rancher Federal Professional services organization. Rancher Consulting Engineers' role will include both remote and onsite consulting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintaining an expert-level understanding of the Rancher Labs portfolio of products.
2. Understanding complementary technology, such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, etc.
3. Providing technical consulting for Rancher users architecting container solutions.
4. Working with prospects and customers to implement solutions based on Rancher.
5. Demonstrating the impact of Rancher for users.
6. Building technical solutions to help solve customer problems.
7. Developing and executing account plans for strategic accounts.
8. Maintaining long-term relationships with customers and partners.
9. Understanding feature requests and advocating for customers and users with product management.
10. Providing leadership and customer feedback throughout the sales lifecycle.
11. Acting as a public representative of RGS in North America, including writing and speaking at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
12. Working with existing customers to maintain customer satisfaction.
13. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum Top Secret clearance.
2. 3+ years of experience working with relevant technology as either a user or field engineer.
3. Deep knowledge of containers and container orchestration (Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker) for both operations and development.
4. Experience with DevOps concepts.
5. Experience with CI/CD and automation software.
6. Experience presenting on technical concepts to end users both in person and virtually.
7. Experience speaking at industry events.
8. Experience creating technical white papers, blog posts, and videos.
9. Experience working in an open-source community.
10. Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude for learning.
11. Ability to set and maintain goals, welcome feedback, and enjoy success.
