As a Principal RF Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, develop, and test our complex products and technologies. These cover a very wide range from state of the art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll be responsible for RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, RF frequency planning, analog-to-digital conversion, and circuit design.
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in RF Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including various RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools
- Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
- This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred:
- In-depth understanding of SMC-S-016: Test Requirements for Launch, Upper-Stage and Space Vehicles
- Experience with automated software testing
- Understanding of the application of Lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., White/Orange/Green Belt)
- AI&T experience with commercial space vehicles or space systems from demonstration class through category-A missions
- Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
- In-depth understanding of product development and verification methodologies.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
- Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
- Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
- Rarely exposed to loud noises
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $239,145.23
