Job Description: The AV Systems Engineer L3 will join our expanding team onsite in Chicago with one of our global clients. The hire will be given the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative technologies in the world. The Principal Solutions Engineer will provide support for corporate AV/VC environments and will confidently and quickly analyze problems using technical diagnostic skill sets to effectively support and resolve issues. Technical responsibilities include high-profile event support, audio, video, conferencing technology, projects, maintenance, and support. Traveling to various client offices on occasion is required.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor all system alerts and assist to resolve complex issues in MTR (MS Teams Room) system hardware and software.
- Analyze MTR system for failure and assist to restore files with the help of the operating system.
- Supervise efficient application of various window patches and security controls via MTR Portal.
- Coordinate with various groups and perform troubleshooting on all production problems and provide resolution.
- Collaborate with networking department and install/configure necessary hardware to systems.
- Perform research on system technology and provide resolution to complex issues for processes.
- Manage database, monitor trouble tickets, and provide appropriate resolution for the same.
- Develop MTR system standards and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
- Coordinate with management and evaluate conduct capacity for system.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (10/10 IOT)
- A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
- Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
- Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
- Must be a team player
AV (Emphasis on Microsoft Teams Room):
- Corporate AV video conferencing experience
- Set up and support events and meetings
- Assist the team in any other activity assigned by the operations manager or lead
- Implement good housekeeping practices for equipment and work areas
- Primary support for All Hands meetings, webcasts, and TelePresence calls
- Provides preventive maintenance support
- Installation of audio visual equipment such as projectors, displays, video walls, speakers, cabling
- Ability to lead AV system installations (Boardrooms, Classrooms, Conference Rooms)
- Completely support customer needs on a daily basis
Appspace Administration and IPTV:
- Platform configuration device registrations
- Appspace App for workplace devices, or card theme customizations device, location, and user management
Preferred Audio Visual Certifications:
- Crestron Flex Certification Track from Crestron Training Institute.
- Crestron Technician Certification Track from Crestron Training Institute.
- Crestron Technician/Field Engineer Track from Crestron Training Institute.
- Avixa CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D Certification
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (Any of the below will be preferred)
- Teams Voice Engineer Expert
- Teams Support Engineer Specialty
- Teams Administrator Associate
- Teamwork Administrator Associate
Additional Information:
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop and bend for extended periods of time
- Must have dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and to handle other office equipment
- Must have ability to climb ladder, scaffolding or transported by lifts
- Must have the ability to drive/operate a vehicle in a safe manner
- Must be able to regularly lift and transport up to 15 pounds, as well as frequently lift and or transport moderately heavy equipment up to 50 pounds
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
