Title:
CIWS Engineering Technician
KBR is seeking a CIWS (Phalanx) Engineering Technician to join our team in Wallops Island, VA . In this role, you will assist with performing comprehensive component and system-level maintenance for shipboard CIWS Systems.
This is a full-time on-site position. This is an SCA position.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance on the CIWS System.
Provide system/equipment configuration and operational support for all deployed baseline AEGIS and SSDS variants
Schedule planned maintenance actions utilizing the SKED program in accordance with the Navy’s Maintenance Material Management (3M) system
Responsible for documenting all maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program.
Basic Qualifications
Clearance: Active/Current Security clearance
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 3+ years demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance on CIWS Phalanx systems and equipment.
Troubleshooting and repair of CIWS Experience troubleshooting and repair of Close in Weapon systems Experience troubleshooting, and repair of wiring, switches, motors and generators associated with machinery.

CIWS NEC
Certified ETA Fiber Optic Installer
Experience troubleshooting and repairing other Weapons System such as VLS, TTWCS or HWS
Additional Duties
Requires walking, standing, climbing stairs, visual skills, and manual dexterity.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in noisy conditions/Industrial work environment.
