Information Security Engineer

Information Security Engineer needs 4+ years of IT security and cyber security experience.

Information Security Engineer requires:

1. Relevant and current security certifications (SEC+, CISSP, CEH, etc).
2. Threat Intel Experience/Vulnerability Management Experience.
3. Specialization in threat intel.

Information Security Engineer duties:

1. Provide operations and engineering support for critical security systems and services including servers, endpoint security, computer forensics, vulnerability/penetration assessment/mitigation, and security event management.
2. Assist with executing vulnerability analysis and exploitation of applications, operating systems, and networks.
3. Design security models, review and approve security configuration and installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies, and servers.
4. Work to identify intrusion or incident path or method through testing and evaluation procedures.
5. Oversee security awareness programs; educate and communicate to staff about information security policies, procedures, and practices.
6. Help design, develop, and implement countermeasures, systems integration, and tools specific to cyber and information operations.
7. Monitor industry security updates, technologies, and best practices to improve security management.
8. Learn how to resolve malware and intrusion issues within the system as they occur.
9. Participate in the development of hardware/software/network security procedures and guidelines that support information security policies.
