Position Summary

Fed95 is looking for a hands-on Sr. Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to test and verify that requirements are met within our solutions and products. The Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer supports an agile team in analyzing, designing, building, and testing high-quality products and solutions that meet and or exceed our customer expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in a fast-paced and growing software organization. The Sr. SQA Engineer develops and documents test strategies, test plans, and test cases to test software systems and solutions that will ensure functional and non-functional requirements of the system are satisfied including compliance-related requirements. The Sr. SQA Engineer will develop and review functional requirements and user stories from business partners and design test plans, write test cases, oversee test strategies, and perform testing for applications, solutions, and products. The SQA Engineer will submit and verify defects, maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software, and will analyze test results to certify existing functionality, integration, regression, system, smoke, and sanity testing has been performed and passed. The Sr. SQA Engineer will also lead and contribute to the development of testing automation through writing automated test scripts, identifying and leveraging automated testing tools, and making recommendations for a robust automated testing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to improve the quality of the testing deliverables and ensure the business needs are met.
  • Review and analyze functional requirements and user stories to verify workflow and system requirements.
  • Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the agile product lifecycle to identify defects and design flaws.
  • Design functional and non-functional test cases that verify requirements and validate functionality.
  • Design test plans, write test cases, and oversee all testing activity and perform testing on Kevadiya application, products, and solutions.
  • Execute all levels of testing including but not limited to integration, regression, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
  • Maintain documentation of all test results.
  • Contribute by writing automated tests and performing testing where needed.
  • Review all system and application ongoing monitoring for potential issues.
  • Collaborate with work team, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions.
  • Promote teamwork and lead by example.
  • Initiate a personal training plan, continue acquiring skills and knowledge, and pursue an understanding of the organization’s technology plan and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass an extensive background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC.

  • Prior knowledge or experience working with a Native American Tribe.

  • Ability to conduct site visits, field monitoring, and inspections in varying weather and terrain.
  • Ability to occasionally lift materials and supplies, up to 40 pounds.

Travel Requirements:

Some travel may be required, up to 10% of the time. The travel may be local or national and may be by car, rail, or air.
