Analyze a variety of specifications from blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize product to be made.Must have knowledge to lay out stock, as well as set up and operate machine tools and hand tools.Fit and assemble components to make, maintain, and repair tools, jigs, fixtures, bushings, collars, gages, and mold patterns.Compute dimensions, decide on machining to be done, plan layout and assembly operations.Verify the dimensions, alignments, and clearances while using measuring instruments such as dial indicators, gage blocks, thickness gages, and micrometers.Adapt to new methods, processes, material, and equipment.Record data on employee time/job card.Report work shortages to Manager/Supervisor.Recommend production efficiency and quality improvements to supervisor.Comply with safety regulations and ensure cleanliness in tool and die area to include all tools, benches, and machines.Immediately report incidents and accidents in work area.Participate in an environment and culture that promotes safety in the workplace.Attends and contributes to department and Company meetings.Develop constructive relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants and governmental agency representatives as necessary.Other duties as assigned.
