Network Security Engineer

This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 9+ Months Contract

Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid-3 to 5 Days in a week onsite is required)

Role Description: The Network Security Engineer must have at least 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications:

1. Firewalls and network filters, in both Enterprise, Stores, and cloud networks.
2. Site-to-site and remote-access VPN connectivity
3. Network Access Control
4. Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (to include multi-factor authentication)
5. Web access proxy servers and URL filtering
6. DNS Security
7. Threat research, vulnerability remediation, and creation of compensating controls.
8. Network Security policy creation, exception documentation and approval.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide suggestions to team lead/manager in creating your professional development and training plan.
2. Prioritize taskings and projects assigned based on importance to accomplishment of business objectives.
3. Occasionally assist junior teammates with maintaining proper prioritization.
4. Solve diverse and complex issues where analysis of situations and data requires in-depth evaluation of identifiable factors.
5. Provide escalation support and technical guidance to teammates in areas where you are a SME.
6. Perform network security architecture and third-party risk management reviews.
7. Assist in performing proof-of-concept testing for network security solutions under consideration for purchase and implementation.
8. Assist in developing and maintaining network security policies, standards, processes and workflows.
9. Work with senior engineers in identifying network security products and technologies that can enhance Client’s mission by providing appropriate protection for all data on the network or sent or received to/from various public or private clouds, or the Internet at large.

Education: Any/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience
