In this role, you'll lead the user interface and user experience strategy for an ecosystem of products and data visualizations that supports our Data, Analytics, Insights, and Business Operations team. You will do this by collaborating with designers, engineers, product, and operations managers across the company.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead & execute in all phases of the design process, with exceptional skill in UX strategy, information architecture, and interaction design.
  2. Craft user-centered experience visions and strategies to tackle our most challenging problems.
  3. Think about experiences beyond products – design an ecosystem of products to support a cohesive user experience while meeting business needs.
  4. Partner with other UI/UX designers and data analysts to make data-informed decisions and drive stakeholder alignment.
  5. Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.
  6. Test UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.
  7. Mentor designers and guide their work, establishing team processes as needed.
  8. Contribute your expertise and leadership skills to developing the broader UI/UX organization within other departments of the Data, Analytics, Insights, and Business Operations team.
  9. Identify user personas in the domain and document their behaviors, pain points, and needs.
  10. Interview operational representatives and document actual work processes.
  11. Analyze existing process documentation and systems including spreadsheets, database diagrams, and other tools used to perform daily functions.
  12. Design and document workflows for technology teams to use as reference for development.
  13. Create and test iterative prototypes to identify areas to improve and potential user interface solutions.
  14. Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to gain consensus on the accuracy of the documented processes and prototypes.
  15. Work closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience in UX Design, able to document operational processes in formats that represent personas, workflows, data and system dependencies, wireframes, digital mockups, or prototypes.
  2. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  3. Ability to present findings and communicate with high-level stakeholders.
  4. Excellent visual and textual documentation skills.
  5. The ability to design artifacts that represent user needs and present processes that are understandable to business and technology stakeholders alike.
  6. Demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to contribute and showcase personal skills as well as learn from peers and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  2. 5+ years professional experience as a key, hands-on user experience designer of a UX/UI team through the product development cycle of successfully launched web, mobile, and/or software applications.
  3. A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms.
  4. A well-rounded UX professional with strength in experience strategy.
  5. Proven ability to present to all levels with strong storytelling skills.
  6. Strong understanding and evangelism of research and data-driven design methodologies.
  7. Experience driving a Lean and Agile user experience from start-to-finish that delivers results.
  8. Ability to provide level of effort intakes for new products, projects, or ad hoc requests.
  9. Proficient using Figma (or similar tools) and diagramming tools (Miro).
  10. Ability to learn from critique, apply feedback and be able to critique other products.
  11. Retail business operations, preferably food and beverage.
